Linda,
I am not sure what religious is any more. Yes I know the standard ones the churches that line the streets. I always thought that the great outdoors was church for me and still is as it is for many. Most stay with what is comfortable and even if it is very dysfunctional. In today's market those who are working do what they are told even if they know it is wrong and continue on. Start ...

Belief's and Values
I think it is really essentail to try and look at one's own beliefs and values and those that contradict them Often reading opposing points of view can point out weaknesses in our own beliefs and opinions which we have over-looked. There is always going to be more to learn about ouselves and others, if we choose to do so.
However when others try to bully... this annoys me! As both Dave and ...

Have you been at the receiving end of a random act of kindness? An act you are not likely to forget easily. Maybe it came from a total stranger. May be from someone you had long ago relegated to some remote corner of your mind. Or even someone known and close to you.

Like to share it?

Spanner or wrench something that can cause damage and usually not meant to be or is it?
Dr McGinnis,

You wrote, "If she told me today that she was not happy and wanted to be with someone else, I would offer her my best wishes. I don't hold prisoners." reminds me of something I have said in the past yet saying something and living it are much different. Many people say "I'll take care of that" then never do... Some make promises that they are unwilling or incapable of keeping...

Vegetarianism and Spirituality

Vegetarianism is primarily connected with two aspects. Optimizing our physical health and guarding against disease caused by non-vegetarian food. Secondly, it is derived out of respect for all things living, avoidance of cruelty and love for all creatures, great and small.

What, then, is the relationship of vegetarianism to spirituality? As spirituality relates to the spirit, then what connection would our spiritual essence have to the foods we eat?

Do you think our planet is living? Is our sun living or just inanimate, non-living structures.

It all depends on how you define life

He doesnt know I wrote about him but he wouldnt care. I had an 80 yr old man tell me my friend is his role model and he knows of that and knows that person. He is still fighting but been in nursing home for 2 yrs but he was elected president of the residents council. I HOPE 1 day he can get out of there and we once again can do things. HE reminds me that its not over til its over.

Unexplained observations

Discuss first hand observations that usually are not explainable or fit within the imperialistic science model or generally accepted society beliefs. For example-Zippy a calico cat who graced our lives for many years. She lived much of her life outside and only came into the house during the evening hours. As she aged she spent more and more time indoors. I would check to make sure she was in before bed time and check all the doors. Through the years I had the night before made sure she was in the house before bed and she would appear at the front door in the morning. At other times I could not find her to bring her in and she would be in the house in the morning. I know cats can hide and she was very good at it yet I got very good at finding her.

I have thoughts and ideas why this occurs and understand there are perfectly logical explanations for this or are those explanations not what most expect .

Perfectly normal, specially at the beginning and if you haven't done the Pranayama breath, the breath will guide you to the areas where you can focus a bit more, for example the hands contracted are related to the heart, the mouth puckered is connected to expression...if you continue to do this breath work, you can direct you breath to those area and create further openings, sing, express!
